For dinner I began making a quick jambalaya in the Ninja Foodie XL 6.5l pressure cooker.
I began with a box of dried and seasoned Cajun rice.
Into the Ninja Foodie XL 6.5l I added the amount of water stated on the package and brought it to a simmer.
To make this a great adventure, I sliced up a package of sausage.
Then decided to add 12oz of frozen mixed veggies. After tasting the pot, I also tossed in a tablespoon of red chili sauce.

Before closing the pressure cooking lid, I had another great adventurous thought.
I went to the freezer and pulled out a few of the leftover pork buns, from an earlier post.
So I dropped in the lower rack, placed the frozen buns above of the pot of jambalaya and closed the pressure cooker lid...
Did it work? YES AND they had a new exterior flavor profile added by the steam from the spicy jambalaya. I'd do this again!
If I wanted to reheat, just about anything... I will stick the rack in and reheat over the top of food I'm preparing in the Ninja Foodie.
