"Carnitas", loosely translated means little meats. I think pulled pork pressure cooked in the Ninja foodie XL 6.5 l multi cooker made little meats that were amazing!
Ingredients:
1 Cup Maseca Instant Corn Masa Flour
1/4 Cup vegetable oil
1/2 Cup warm water
A sprinkle of salt and black pepper
A little bit of chopped onion and cilantro
A little splash of the green pepper tapatio sauce
To start I made 8 lb of bone in pork rib roast in the pressure cooker.
I put a pan on medium high heat.
In one of my new mixing bowls I mixed one cup of Maseca Instant Corn Masa Flour with 3/4 cups of warm water from the tap and one quarter cup of vegetable oil.
Then it was just a matter of dicing up a little bit of onion and cilantro and grabbing the bottle of tapatio from the cupboard.
Because the meat was still drenched in liquid I decided to pan fry it to get a little bit of crispy bits.
Then, a bit on each tortilla with a bit of diced onion and cilantro on each and a splash of green pepper tomatillo.

Yet another great adventure in the books and for amazing tacos in my belly!
I'm definitely making a sazón pork soup with what's left in the ninja foodie.
I suppose I could eat carnitas for the next two weeks straight... We'll see... Check out the posts tagged with leftovers, pulled pork and you may see the entire life cycle!
