One of my old friends, and colleagues in the tech industry, for many years, started a great adventure.

As I walked into the food area, I was immediately surrounded by the normal "fair" type food.
Glancing over the crowd of thousands, I saw buckets of cheese fries, powdered sugar covered elephant ears, buckets of lemonade, and deep fried everything's.
I later, realized the calzoni we're so good, the people who tried them gobbled them down quickly. Crazy good food!
His booth was easily identifiable as the only healthy option. When I glanced at it, the first thing that came to mind was, I want to eat that!!! 😂 Not because he's a friend and was the purpose of my visit, but because I didn't want a deep fried anything, a bucket of cheese fries or a sugar rush.
What caught my eye was truly, his business produced the only homemade food, healthy food, flavorful food and wouldn't be creating a mess as I try and walk around.
I ordered one of everything. The Italian, handcrafted, perfectly balanced calzoni he and his MasterChef created.....was an amazing delivery mechanism for flavor.
I had absolutely nothing on my hands or face to wipe!
The marinara sauce was deep, rich, robust and beyond proper. Each and every calzoni had its own unique and distinct flavor profile. It was immediately obvious, every single element was hand selected, creating the perfect layered taste & texture profile in every single bite.
As with most large gatherings, these days, there was a significant police presence. Throughout my time, at the gathering, I watched officer after officer ordering calzoni from gotcalzoni, as they're much more conscious of their dietary intake. As literally the only healthy option at the venue, families and others concerned with their dietary intake would visit and then come back for more. I watched health conscious individuals ask every single question about the ingredients in the preparation methodology as well as crazy health questions 😂
I have to admit, I came expecting a decent Hot Pocket. But the aroma from the cooking and the first bite, took me to a place where I could see myself eating one of these every single day and never being bored or sad about it... 1000% better than a large calzone, or any pizza. Every menu item was, easily, 10,000 times better than a Hot Pocket 😂 and the calzoni we're 1,000,000 x better than anything else provided by any of the vendors.
I have to admit. I am thrilled gotcalzoni.com exists. If I was still in the Chicago area, I would sign up for their event notifications on their website, frequent their public events & have them cater my corporate meetings. I am so sick of basic sandwiches in a box with a bag of chips LoL I have always enjoyed pizza, but they have a distinct and unique flavor profile that far surpasses any pizza.
I am impressed. That doesn't happen often.
